If it's unplugged for 10 seconds, it 'reboots', works properly for one on/off cycle, then goes unresponsive again.Īnyone got suggestions why this has happened multiple times, and how to prevent it? Verizon doesn't know and just says 'it shouldn't happen again' and I'm out of ideas. It can't be turned back on, the channel won't change, and it seems unresponsive to any/all commands When it's turned off, the audio goes away, LED goes out, but picture keeps playing Box turns on but there's no OSD for what channel you're on And unplugging them isn't enough to cure it, when the problems occur, Verizon Support has to force a reset and then push a firmware reload which fixes the problem. The full-size SD boxes (Motorola QIP2500) work fine, it's just the two DCT700 mini-boxes that have problems. As part of the deal, we got 2 'digital adapters' (Motorola DCT700 STBs) free, for our 2 analog TVs that we had connected.Įverything works great until, when there's a blip in the power or something similar and then they stop responding. My parents have Verizon FiOS and they went all-digital last summer. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
